Descending Foxton Locks on 26th may 2009. We were joined at Foxton by our friend Robin, she worked with Graham
and his colleagues at the Great Central Railway during the first share issue which led to the railway being saved in 1976.
On this day, the task was rather easier and she helped us to work the locks for Alnwick's descent. Nevertheless, there
was plenty of time, while the locks filled, to reminisce about 'the old days' and the characters that were involved! In the
picture above, Robin is sitting on the left hand balance beam while Graham tackles the paddle gear.
